The Barton Reading & Spelling System is an Orton-Gillingham influenced, simultaneously explicit and systematic multisensory phonics-based literacy program. The Barton System is designed to be administered in a 1:1 setting so the tutor can work at the student's pace.
Foundation in Sounds is a phonemic awareness program designed to build the sound discrimination and working memory skills needed to pass the Barton screener. Students who pass the Barton screener do not need Foundation in Sounds. Like the Barton System, this program is designed to be administered in a 1:1 setting.

Sessions are billed per professional hour. A professional hour is 50-60 minutes, with a maximum of 60 minutes. The minimum requirement is 2 sessions per week, with a maximum of 60 minutes per session for the Barton Reading & Spelling System.
The minimum requirement for Foundation in Sounds is 1.5 hours per week, with a minimum of 45 minutes per session and a maximum of 60 minutes per session.
Tutoring sessions less than 50 minutes will be pro-rated.
